As we get older, our youthful hormone levels diminish which is a major part of the aging process.
Unlike synthetic hormones, topical Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy allows for low dose replacement of Natural Hormones and also reduces the incidence of cancer, heart disease, bone loss, diabetes and diminished brain functioning and loss of libido.

Menopause is the time in a woman's life when ovarian production of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone begins to decline. Although menopause is medically defined as the time in which a woman ceases to menstruate for a period of 12 months, the onset can occur up to ten years before that. While each woman is different, generally it occurs some time between the ages of 35 and 55. BodylogicMD physicians recommend that all women should have their hormone levels checked by age 40. Long before a woman's period has stopped, she has already noticed a change. Her periods become shorter and she notices a loss of energy, a decrease in strength and diminished libido. Her moods are changing; she may be more agitated, depressed, apathetic and forgetful than normal.
For men who believe they are going through the proverbial midlife crisis, doctors and researchers say they may actually be experiencing something very different--the male version of menopause known as andropause. Occurring by the time a man reaches his 40s to mid-50s, andropause is the result of a gradual drop in the hormone levels including testosterone. Symptoms manifest themselves in a number of ways with everything from emotional, psychological and behavioral changes to loss of energy, decreased stamina and sexual dysfunction.
Although a decline in hormone levels will occur in virtually all men with age, there is no way of predicting who will experience andropause symptoms of sufficient severity to seek medical help. That is why it is important to know that low testosterone levels can impact a man's quality of life and may expose him to more significant health problems such as heart disease, osteoporosis and stroke.
